The HTC One M9 users on Optus carrier should be delighted to know that their devices will soon be updated to the latest Android Nougat OS as the testing for the same has been completed.
The Australian Carrier, thus, will soon be releasing the Nougat update to HTC One M9, which will bring along with it enhanced security features and a plethora of goodies including improved notifications and menu options amongst others.

Although, the exact timeframe for the HTC One M9 Nougat roll out has not been announced by Optus, it has said that it will be a gradual one, as usually is the case. The Nougat update, when first released, will be made available for a small number of users. If no unforeseen problems pop up, it’ll gradually be made available to more and more users over the following weeks.
Noticeably, the Nougat update for HTC One M9 has started rolling out in Mainland Europe, Turkey and South Africa for the unlocked version. Those with a locked version on Canadian carrier Rogers have also started receiving it.

On another news front on HTC, we have come across that the Taiwanese business has positioned itself as a ‘VR company’ also and is slated to release a new and improved mobile VR device by the end of this year. This device will be compatible with HTC’s new ‘U’ series smartphones, one of which showed up on TENAA today bearing model number HTC U-1w.
