If you are an Optus Samsung Galaxy Note 5 or S6 Edge Plus user and have been keeping track of our website, you might know that Optus started testing Nougat for the said devices besides S6 and S6 Edge in May this year, however, the Nougat update was delayed due to technical issues.

But, we have some good news. Looks like Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus users on Optus (Australia) will soon be able to taste Nougat. The update is expected to release later this month.

Optus is quite late to send the Nougat update as US carriers and unlocked variants for both Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus have received Nougat update 2-3 months back.

Once you receive the Nougat update, it will bring revamped user interface, new settings menu, quick replying from notification shade, bundled notifications and a whole lot more besides improving the battery life with the improved Doze mode.

We will update you once the Australian carrier, Optus releases the Nougat update. Stay tuned.
