Here is the LG Optimus G Marshmallow update for those keen for the latest Android OS right now. The Android 6.0 update won’t be released officially by LG for the device, but thanks to AOSP source code Google shares of every Android build, developers were able to create a 6.0 custom ROM for the Optimus G, which when installed gives you 6.0 update almost like it is on Google’s own nexus devices.
The CM13 custom ROM is the most popular AOSP based ROM, and is available for Optimus G now. With the Marshmallow custom ROMs, you get stock Android UI as Google designed it, and there are no bloatware etc. stuff form the OEM that usually ends up slowing the device down, while trying to add OEM features that largely prove burdensome.

Because Optimus G is powered by a good processor, and more importantly 2GB of RAM, there shouldn’t be any problem running Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on the device. The required RAM for Marshmallow is just 1GB, after all, and because the unofficial updates like this are pretty light weight, your Marshmallow experience should be a lot smoother here.
