Looks like Oppo R9S users are about to get some of the Nougat goodness very soon. Leaked photos have surfaced online that show the R9S running Android 7.0 Nougat.
As you can see from the image at the top, the smartphone is clearly running the Nougat software. The split-window mode is a feature present in Android 7.0, which allows users to run two apps simultaneously.

The images were posted by a Weibo user, but details as to release date aren’t known. However, since the update is out there, users in China should start receiving it soon. Oppo isn’t a manufacturer that’s known to provide the latest software updates to its users, so this is good news.

The Oppo R9S was released in October last year and is a mid-range device. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 16MP camera in front and back, and a 3010mAh battery. We will let you know when the Nougat update goes live.
