One of the Arc Raiders' Week 10 Trials involve opening ARC Probes to amass points and earn 3 stars. It is one of the easiest trials to get a massive score. Here's how to go about completing this trial.

How ARC Probes function

ARC Probes are static beacons that land from orbit, broadcasting a siren once breached. They never directly damage players but trigger:

  • Local attraction of ground ARC patrols.
  • Repeated air reinforcements (typically one Hornet plus two Wasps) if the breach timer runs long.

Fast, coordinated breaches minimize these responses, making probes a high-reward, low-risk objective when handled correctly.

Locations for ARC Probes

ARC Probes spawn randomly across all maps - Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, Blue Gate, and Stella Montis. They appear in groups of three. You will find the heaviest clusters during Prospecting Probes. The common ARC Probe spawn locations on each map include:

  • Dam Battlegrounds: Hydroponic Dome Complex near the water treatment structures.
  • Spaceport: Cargo bays adjacent to the main hangar, especially around the southern elevator.
  • Buried City: Baron Husk scavenging zones in narrow alleyways and collapsed plazas.
  • Blue Gate: Around mountain pass Raider Hatches, where probe husks often appear.
  • Stella Montis: Ruined cantina rooftops overlooking the valley.

Pack a PVE-focused build with high ARC armor pen primaries like Anvil or Ferro for quick ARC clears, plus Wolfpack grenades for clusters. Slot Looter’s Instinct and Proficient Pryor in your skill tree to speed breaching and reveal probes. Pair them with silenced weapons and ample heals for safe extracts. Avoid heavy loadouts; free gear works if you're going solo.

How to complete Open ARC Probes

Note that you don't always need to open probes. Even if you are able to loot an open probe, you'll get the points.

Step 1

Queue into Prospecting Probes variant on Stella Montis (Night Raid for Shredder overlap) or Dam as solo/duo.

Step 2

Land central (e.g., Lobby Metro on Stella Montis); scan for initial probe clusters (often 3+ near buildings) using Snitch Scanners if available.

Step 3

Approach quietly, breach or loot probes. Move on to next POI like Security Bridge or Sandbox for respawns, clearing flying ARCs en route.

Step 4

Hit 20-30 probes for 3-star threshold (~13k+ points), then extract mid-raid—peak run saves automatically.

Chain probes with flying ARCs or Fireballs on conditioned maps, extract consistently, and climb ranks before Jan 5 reset.
