Ever since the OnePlus One was released in India in December 2014, there were issues between OnePlus and Cyanogen. These started as Micromax bagged the exclusive rights to rollout the latter’s software updates in the country.

After a brief halt in the sales of the OnePlus One smartphones, the Chinese manufacturer came up with an announcement claiming that it will launch its own Android Lollipop based ROM. Also, the firm is all set to rollout this ROM called OxygenOS to the users in the country from tomorrow.

In the meantime, it has been revealed that the One smartphones will get the CM12S OTA update in India. This information comes from Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus via Twitter.

As of now, there is no information on when the CyanogenMod 12S update will be making its way into the United States, but it is expected to happen this week. Soon after the rollout of the U.S. update, we can expect the OnePlus One devices in the other regions to also receive the update.
