Android is such an interesting operating system, which is why we follow it religiously. It lets you do stuff that users on other platforms can only dream of – stuff like completely replacing the stock OS on your phone with some other custom-made OS of your choice.

For instance, as of this writing, you can install an MIUI 10-based custom ROM on your OnePlus 7 Pro, just in case you feel unimpressed by OxygenOS 9.5.

The developer behind this MIUI 10 ROM for OnePlus 7 Pro, XDA Developers senior member ProtoDeVNan0, built it based on Xiaomi Mi 9’s MIUI 10 beta ROM 9.5.16 that came out mid this month. However, the only available version at the moment is based on the China ROM, although he notes that the global ROM is coming soon.

Your OnePlus 7 Pro needs to be coming from at least OxygenOS 9.5.3, but keep in mind that this is beta software and hence unstable. Some of the identified issues include the Mi 9 notch showing up, Wi-Fi not working, and Camera/Flashlight not working, all of which will be fixed in the next update.

Other than the above issues, the ROM should be perfect to use on your OnePlus 7 Pro handset, but be sure to keep an eye on this XDA thread for details on how to install it and any other help you might need.
