OnePlus is pushing out a new software update to OnePlus 3 and 3T handsets over-the-air (OTA).

The Chinese smartphone maker, as usual, is seeding the update incrementally which means, only a small number of users will receive the update right away with the reach increasing to a broader range of users with time.

The new software update is arriving as OxygenOS 4.1.7 and brings with it the August security patch alongside several bug fixes and improvements. Below is the official changelog for the same:

Improvements:

  • Enhanced system fluidity
  • Bluetooth optimizations
  • Battery optimizations
  • Android security patch updated to August

Bug fixes:

  • Sound channel error while recording videos
  • Call is routed to speaker accidentally by some 3rd party apps
  • Screen is turned on by screen off gesture while making a phone call
  • Rendering issue in Indian Kannada language
  • App locker issue caused by some 3rd party apps

Before downloading the update, make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to save yourself from unnecessary data charges. Also, charge your device before installing the update on your OnePlus 3 or 3T handsets.
