The OnePlus team just released the OxygenOS 3.2.1 update, which is basically the 3.2.0 update with bugs fixed. Earlier, the team had halted the 3.2.0 update because of issues reported by OnePlus 3 users.

The changelog for the OxygenOS 3.2.1 is nearly the same as that of 3.2.0, but has two new items of its own too. Apparently, the 3.2.1 update fixes issues with notification and SIM recognition, the first 2 items in the changelog list below.

  • Fixed some notification issues
  • Addressed SIM recognition issue
  • Enabled sRGB mode in developer options
  • Improved RAM management
  • Improved GPS performance
  • Enhanced audio playback quality
  • Updated custom icon packs
  • Improved camera quality/functionality
  • Fixed some issues in Gallery
  • Implemented latest Google security patches
  • Fixed bugs in Clock/Music apps

For those already on 3.2.0, the update weighs in only 15MB, while for others, it’s 400MB+ download. There shouldn’t be any requirement to update to 3.2.0 first, and we think all the devices currently on pre-3.2.0 build will receive direct update to 3.2.1.

Hit up Settings, and look for the system update now. It’s pretty big update for the OnePlus 3 users that fixes issues with display, RAM, GPS, etc.

Do feedback us on how the update works with your OnePlus 3. Do you still spot any issues that are supposed to be fixed with the 3.2.1 update, or any trouble with the installation?

OTA Download

The above requires you to be on OxygenOS 3.2.0. To install, transfer the OTA to internal storage, and then reboot into OnePlus 3’s stock recovery and choose Install menu, then select the update file from storage. Once done, reboot the device. That’s it
