OnePlus is known for its announcement of the specifications of its upcoming flagship smartphones in bits and pieces. After confirming the presence of the octa core Snapdragon 810 chipset and the support for USB Type-C port on the OnePlus 2, the firm has revealed another feature that confirms a much rumored aspect.

Well, the firm has announced that the OnePlus 2 that is slated to be unveiled on July 27 in virtual reality will feature a fingerprint reader. There are different types of fingerprint reading and the firm assured that this one will be the latest and most advanced one.

As per the firm, the fingerprint reader implemented on the OnePlus 2 smartphone will be faster at unlocking the device in comparison to the TouchID on Apple iPhone 6. Also, it is claimed that the fingerprint scanner can store up to five fingerprint profiles.

We still have almost a month for the unveiling of the OnePlus 2 and in the meantime, we can expect the Chinese firm to reveal these aspects as well.
