It’s here, folks! OnePlus 2 CM12.1 ROM is finally shaping up and the first Alpha build (unofficial) is now available for anyone to download and install. Thanks to Grarak over at XDA.

You’d expect an alpha build to be something that’s just booted, but OnePlus 2 is not your usual non-developer-friendly device. Thanks to the unlockable bootloader and source code from OnePlus, even the first CM12.1 alpha build for OnePlus 2 has the major things like Display, Touchscreen and Camera working.

While it is still nothing to be your daily driver, but the developer is already working on fixing the modem which will fix network on the ROM.

Installing CM12.1 on OnePlus 2 is as easy as it has always been. Just grab the alpha build from the download link below and flash it via TWRP recovery along with a factory reset / wipe data.

Note: Running CM12.1 on OnePlus 2 may sound interesting but this is only an alpha build and we don’t recommend you using this as your daily driver.
