Update [October 03, 2016]: Even the HTC M9+ in Europe is now receiving the Android 6.0.1 update, Marshmallow, and here is your proof to believe it. BTW, the software version is 2.27.707.1, and it’s sized around 1.47 GB.

The HTC M9 Plus users have been waiting for the long time now for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and today, at least those in China can have their hands on the update. The 6.0 update is available as beta now, and it comes as software version 2.27.1405.1 (197.4 MB) for M9pw, and 2.27.1403.1 (245.6 MB) for M9pt.

Mind you, it’s still not Android 6.0.1, but with Sense 7, System optimization and latest security patches baked into the update, there is not much to complain. If you own the M9+ in China, now’s the time to hit that ‘check for update’ button under Settings > About device > System Updates.

Give it a go, folks! While we wait for the Nougat update, specking of which, find the expected release date of HTC 10 Android 7.0 update here.

Now we can safely expect HTC to release the much-awaited Marshmallow update for the European and other Asian One M9+ sets soon, as the rollout has at least begin somewhere. Although, we can’t share the date just yet.
