Ominous Yin-Yang is a wandering tale in Where Winds Meet from the Wandering Tales. The tale revolves around a peculiar Daoist, behind the hill at the Jianlong Temple. He is awaiting someone destined to cross his path. This guide will help you in completing the quest for full rewards.

Location & How to start

The tale will begin at the Skyreach Terrace in Kaifeng Roaring Sands.. Meet Yuncai in front of the temple to start the quest.

Walkthrough

Here is how you can complete the Ominous Yin-Yang tale in Where Winds Meet:

Step 1: Find Yuncai

Move down the stairs on the left and reach the temple. You will find Yunaci sitting there outside.

Step 2: Speak to Yuncai

Talk with Yuncai. She will ask you to find the Official and Radiance star positions and clear whatever's inside.

Step 3: Find the closed door

Teleport to Skyreach Terrace and take the right stairs to move down. Reach the low ground using the location indicator. On the left, you will find a closed door.

Step 4: Solve the puzzle

Solve the puzzle to open the door. You can check the correct pattern in the screenshot below.

Step 5: Defeat the enemies

Enter the newly opened area. Attack the Xuanyuan Cultist A and Xuanyuan Cultist B and defeat them.

Step 6: Take the pendant

Climb the statue in the temple to take the half pendant with restoration carved on it.

Step 7: Pick up the letter

Pick up the letter from the deceased, old Daoist priest, addressing junior brother Ziyun.

Step 8: Move to high ground

Teleport to Starveil Grassland. Snatch the horse from the upcoming person and use the location indicator to move towards high ground.

Step 9: Find the closed door

The horse owner will take his horse back. Cover the remaining journey on foot. You will again encounter a closed door.

Step 10: Solve the puzzle

Solve the puzzle to open the door. You can check the correct pattern in the screenshot below.

Step 11: Defeat the enemies

Enter the area and attack the Xuanyuan Cultist B Xuanyuan star servant and defeat them.

Step 12: Burn the overgrown vine

Use the fire arrow to burn down the vine, revealing the statue. Climb the statue in the temple to take the half pendant with restoration carved on it.

Step 13: Open the Yin-Yang ground

Teleport back to Skyreach Terrace and go down to the temple where you meet Yuncai. The ground with Yin-Yang markings will open up.

Step 14: Defeat the enemies and rescue Yuncai

Enter the underground Truthseeker's Cave and defeat the enemies. Find Yuncai and rescue her. Speak with her and show the letter. Finish the conversation to complete the quest.
