The Kindle Fire HD 7 inch and the 2nd Generation Kindle Fire are both now shipping to people who pre-ordered and are available for purchase starting today.

The price of the Kindle Fire HD 7 inch is $199 and of Kindle Fire (2nd generation) is $150 ($50 less than the previous generation Kindle Fire). Note that $199 is the price of 16GB variant of 7-inch Kindle Fire HD, the 32GB variant which will be priced at $249 and is scheduled to be released on 25th of October.

Also due for release is the 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD which is the only Kindle Fire that will have a 4G LTE band for high speed internet. It’s available for pre-order at Amazon and is expected to be released on November 20.

The Kindle Fire HD 7 inch sports a display resolution of 1280×800 with anti-glare technology, TI OMAP 4460 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM front-facing HD camera, dual band WiFi antenna, 10.16 mm thick, 11 hours battery life and comes in two 16GB and 32GB variants with no expandable memory slot.

And the Kindle Fire Second Generation is a refreshed version of previous years (or say the first) Kindle Fire by Amazon. It houses a 7 inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 (similar to last generation’s), TI OMAP 4430 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8.5 hrs battery life and 8GB of internal storage with no expandable memory slot.
