Nokia 8 has been in the making for quite some time now and is inching closer to its release. Nokia has  already sent out invites for an event on August 16th to be held in London where, we believe, the flagship phone ill be unveiled. So, the release date has been set, specsheet known (thanks to ever pouring leaks and rumors). The only missing piece for the Nokia 8 jigsaw to be completed is the pricing. And voila! Here it is.

Vodafone Romania has the Black version of Nokia 8 listed for around 434 euros excluding VAT. The final price with the VAT included boils down to 517.42 euros. This is much cheaper than other flagship smartphones such as HTC U11, LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8.

As Romania’s smartphone price policy is based on Western Europe markets rules, countries in that region ( like Germany, Italy, Spain and others) should assign a similar price tag to Nokia 8. This price will slightly vary with the VAT tax difference which isn’t the same in the EU countries.

The main highlight of Nokia 8 is the 13MP dual camera setup on the back with Carl Zeiss lens while the front camera will be of 12MP. Reported to sport a 5.3-inch QHD display, the phone will rock a full metal body. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset hooked on to 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

Nokia 8 could possibly flaunt an underglass fingerprint scanner just like Xiaomi Mi 6 and will be released in Blue, Black and Grey colors. It will be shipped with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It will obviously receive the Android 8.0 (O) update once it’s officially released by Google later this year.
