Here’s a good reason for loyal Nokia fans in India to rejoice. The recently released trio of Nokia Android smartphones will soon be arriving in the country. To be precise, the phones will be available for purchase by June this year. HMD Global also has plans to manufacture these phones in India via Foxconn.

The three Nokia phones will be available for purchase online as well as offline, Ajey Mehta, India VP at HMD Global said while speaking to Fonearena at the MWC in Barcelona. HMD plans to open a network of service centers across India to offer value-based after sales services.

The entry-level Nokia 3 will be available in four colors- Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White. It costs 139 euros which translates to Rs.9800 approximately. Nokia 5, priced at 189 euros (Rs.13300 approximately), also comes in four color options- Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper.

Nokia 6, launched in four color options (Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper), will be priced 229 euros, which is around Rs.16000. Another variant of Nokia 6 was also launched at the MWC- Nokia 6 Arte Black Limited Edition at a price of 299 euros, approx Rs 21,000. But whether this Limited Edition will also be able to make its way in India remains to be seen.

However, the prices of these handsets in India could presumably be less based on the logic that the domestic production will cut back the import duty lowering the production cost.
