With less than two weeks to go for this year’s biggest tech event, the Mobile World Congress, the OEMs have started releasing their cards one by one. Uptil now, it was via leaks and rumors that we kept ourselves abreast, with one or two official announcements in between. That’s not the case anymore.
Well, leaks and rumors haven’t stopped raining, they are and will still be there. But the official revelations from the smartphone manufacturers have started pouring in more frequently. The latest one coming from HMD Global Oy, the company with exclusive rights to market phones under the storied Nokia brand. The Finnish manufacturer is all set to list the curtains off four phones — Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and a 2017 edition of Nokia 3310.
Looks like an interesting lineup. While Nokia 6 has already been launched in China with Android 7.0 Nougat OS and now will make its global appearance, we will see the release of two more Android Nougat powered Nokia phones in the MWC- Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. On the other hand, the feature phone Nokia 3310 will make a comeback in its 2017 avatar. That should be quite a combo- Android Nougat powered smartphones launched beside a low-budget feature phone.
Nokia 6 made its debut in China with a full HD 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 430 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 16-megapixel primary camera. Nokia 5 will come with slightly toned down specs which include a 5.2 inch display, 2GB RAM and 16-megapixel primary camera while maintaining the Snapdragon 430 SoC.

Coming to the pricing, Nokia 6 is priced at €249 while Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 should cost €199 and €149 respectively.
The lowest in the rung, specwise as well as price-wise, is Nokia 3310 which is priced competitively at €59. With plentiful battery life and nearly indestructible build as its plus point, it should not surprise us if this feature phone gets many takers at the Nokia meet scheduled to be held on February 26th in MWC, Barcelona.
