Walkthrough
Follow the steps below to complete the Night Flash's Shadow encounter quest:
Step 1
Join the gathered crowd in front of Night Flash to start the quest.

Step 2
Talk to Qi Feijun standing nearby and plan to steal the horse at night. Even if you choose to pay a high price for it, the game will still force you to steal the horse.

Step 3
Use the in-game clock to fast-forward time to the next day at Zi hour.

Step 4
Head to the stables in Harvestfall Village and eavesdrop on the conversation between Ma Qiu and Ma Chun.

Step 5
Continue searching west along the road until you spot the Greenwood Bandit standing on a rock. Speak with him to trigger a fight, then defeat him to progress.

Step 6
Enter the Riverside Station Prison and talk to Constable Xiaoliu to ask about the horse.

Step 7
Go to Song Sanshi and Lin Yao inside the Riverside Station building and speak to them; they’ll lead you outside toward the stables.

Step 8
Once outside, wake Xiaoliu and, after the conversation ends, speak with him again in private.

Climb up to the Inn’s second floor and head to the back, where you’ll find a broken section of the window you can slip through to get inside.

Examine the four clues needed to piece together the truth:
- Rusty Dagger — Found on the roof, right in front of the broken window you entered through.
- Account Book 1 — Lying on the table beside that same broken window.
- Account Book 2 — Placed on the small table in front of the stairs.
- Broken Window Lattice — Located right next to the window you climbed in from.

Step 11
Once you’ve gathered all the clues, begin the deduction by carefully examining them and connecting the pieces to uncover the truth.

Step 12
After completing the deduction, you’ll hear a horse neigh. Head to the entrance of Riverside Station Prison, where Qi Feijun is standing outside, and speak with him.

Step 13
Travel to Jadebrook Mountain and speak with Qi Feijun there.

Step 14
Make your way to the quest marker and examine the two corpses in the grass. Be cautious of the bear nearby—it will attack. You can choose to defeat it first or investigate while fighting.

Step 15
Near the left-hand corpse, find the Sacrificial Remnants resting on a rock.

Use Wind Sense to follow the scent, climb the rock, and continue along the stone pathway upward on your right.

Keep walking upward until you see a man praying on the left.

At the spot where the man is praying, take a left and head straight to the house to speak with Little Mohe standing on the left side of the house.

Head to the quest marker and talk to Qi Feijun, who will instruct you to dig in the ground. After digging, speak with him again.

Finally, speak with Qingxuan standing nearby and ask him about Night Flash’s Shadow to complete the quest and claim your reward.
