Finally, Engadget guys have it — the leaked pics of the Samsung’s latest android phone dubbed as Nexus S (aka Nexus Two) that’s been storming the rumors mill for quite sometime now.
You know from the first looks that it that it’s straight from the Sammy’s workshop. The design, build material, finish, etc – all are tell-tale signs that it is indeed a twin to Samsung’s popular android device, Galaxy S GT i9000. Moreover, the codename of Nexus S is GT i9020, which further substantiates the Sammy’s work.
In the update, Engadget is reporting that they indeed contacted Google for comments but the company simply declined to comment on the rumors/speculation.
The Phandroid guys have gotten their hands laid on a shot that confirms it’s name – the Samsung Google Nexus S Mobile Phone – and that it’s headed to T-Mobile for sure. Spec-wise, Nexus S will be the first phone to come pre-loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread while other main features of the devices have simply been ported from SGS:
- 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor
- 4.0 inch Super AMOLED Display
- 5 MP camera
- Front facing camera (as can be seen in leaked pics)
- EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900
- HSUPA 900/1700/2100 (capable of producing download and upload speeds of 7.2 mbps and 5.76 mbps respectively)
It’s a bit disappointing to not see HSPA+ even when the carrier supports it.
Check out the leaked pics of the Nexus S below and let us know whether you are up for yet another Galaxy S lookalike to say the least.
