Not many will be waiting to hear this, but it’s official that Samsung has released its first Nexus phone, the Nexus S, in home-town Korea without ripping it off of Super AMOLED screen. With LG Optimus 2X — world’s first dual core processor phone — already there, Koreans will really have hard time choosing Nexus S — which will be available via both KT ad SKT, for 800,000 Wons (US$ 712 approx.) BTW, the codename of Korean Galaxy S is SHW-M200.
Here are the Nexus S specs to for your recall:
Nexus S in Korea will have the same 4-inch Super AMOLED display with curved glass screen, 1GHz CPU, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 16GB internal storage, mVoIP, gyro sensor and NFC.
But there is a big point with Nexus phones. They are straight from Google, which means you won’t have to beg your carrier or manufacturer for updates Google releases every six months. You’ll get your directly from Google — which in android world, is one very serious factor one should take note of when purchasing an android gadget.
