There was a long pending issue at Android’s Issue tracker page (203237), one that received the green flag today in the form of label ‘FutureRelease’ by the Android Team, meaning the issue has been fixed by the team at Google.
The fix to solved the Nexus 9 lag problem will be issued as part of next update. Even though we kind of know when the next update would hit as an OTA on Nexus 9 tablets, it’d be a remiss to say that it would surely pack the fix within it.
Anyway, those of you upset with the performance of your Nexus 9 on Nougat, Marshmallow or even Lollipop, can breath a sigh of relief, and wait patiently for the fix to arrive in an update.
Even though Google engineers work hard to make sure that the release version don’t cause any issues performance-wise or other, software being software, there just couldn’t be 100% perfect bunch of code every time around. We have seen our share of Nougat issues and solutions, and even though we hope we don’t have to write such articles, we know we have to periodically. It’s only expected, if not fair in strict sense.
