It seems like Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone. A Xiaomi handset with the codename “riva” has appeared on Geekbench today.
The listing reveals that the device will feature a quad-core 1.40GHz Qualcomm processor. This could most probably be the Snapdragon 427 SoC or one among the SD425 or SD415 chipsets.
The Xiaomi riva was spotted packing 3GB of RAM. Also, according to the report, it will ship with the latest version of Android, i.e., Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box.

No other details surrounding the smartphone are available at the moment. By the looks of it, though, the Xiaomi riva seems to be an entry-level handset.
Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone vendor, is expected to launch a couple of flagship smartphones in the second quarter of the year which includes: the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3.
The company is also expected to launch the Redmi Pro 2 with a near bezel-less display sometime later this year.
