The latest flagship smartphone duo from Samsung – Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge received a software update recently fixing the memory management issues of the device. Though this update was aimed to fix the issue that was ruining the experience of many users of these devices, it has not made its way into many markets.

To rectify the same, Samsung is pushing another update with a different change-log in many Asian and European markets. This new update with the build number XXU1AOE3 has a more comprehensive change-log. The OTA update measures 159 MB in Malaysia.

It enhances the fingerprint recognition process and the interface of some of the Samsung applications. The update brings a new feature in Photo Editor, enhances the compatibility to accessories and more.

On testing, it has been made clear that the RAM management still persists even after the roll out of this update. The differences between the two updates remain unknown. The update that was rolled out previously was for the Vodafone network in the UK, whereas the new one is a general update for the devices in the country.

Before this OTA update makes its way to your Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S5 Edge smartphone, you can head on to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update to see if your device gets the update.
