Update: Google just pushed another update to the Play Store with version 8.0.73. This is a significant jump from the 8.0.27 version which released earlier today. We’re yet to see changes in the new update, but it seems to be twice the size of version 8.0.27, which weighed in much less in size at around 9MB as compared to the regular Play Store APK size of around 15MB. Google Play Store has received another incremental update for version 8. The latest update bumps the version number to 8.0.27. The previous update was 8.0.26.
While one of the earlier version 8 updates, 8.0.22 brought a prominent change to the play store viz. inline change logs to app updates, the current and previous update are ghost updates with no visible changes as such.
As is always the case with Play Store updates, it is a server side update. Meaning, Google will be pushing out the new Play Store version gradually to all supported Android devices i.e. you don’t have to update anything, it will be available on your device automatically.
However, if you would like to give the new version a go, you can grab the Play Store APK file from the download link below and install the update manually.
Just grab the Play Store APK file from the link above and install it like you would install any other APK file on your Android device. For help, you could use our step-by-step guide to install a APK file on Android.
