Walkthrough
Here is how you can complete the My Blade is Yours wandering tale in Where Winds Meet:
Step 1: Talk to the Elder
Chen Yijan, the elder, is drinking wine continuously in sorrow. Talk to him. If offered, you can take a drink with him.

Step 2: Get the Dayan Sword
After you take a drink with him, he confesses his sorrow about the 'worthless' blade. As a promise to return to him, he gives you the Dayan Sword.

Step 3: Find Dayan
Make your way to the withered Plum Grove and find Dayan. You will see an engraved stone with a message about Dayan here.

Step 4: Surrender the Dayan Sword
After reading the inscription, you give away your Dayan Sword as an offering.

Step 5: Return to Chen Yijan
Take a drink with Chen Yijan at his home. After a small conversation, the wandering tale concludes.
