Motorola is rolling out a new firmware update to Moto Z devices in the UK. The new update brings along with it February security patch and is being rolled out as we speak.

The new software which is hitting the Moto Z units includes the updates of Android security patches until February 1st 2017. It also tags along important security improvements and bug fixes.

Motorola recommends installing the monthly update only when the battery in your phone is at least 50% charged and you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. The update being an OTA, you will receive a notification message for it. Once it hits you, follow the following steps to install the February security patch on your Moto Z phone:

>Select “Yes, I’m in”
>Select “Install now” after the download is complete
>Once installed, your phone will re-start automatically
>Your phone is now updated.

In case, you have not received the notification, you can check for it manually by going to Settings>>About phone>>System updates.
