Having launched their latest iteration of their mid range Moto G series, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, at MWC, Motorola is now looking to make the device available globally. Today, Motorola India let us know via their Twitter handle that the Moto G5 Plus would release in India on March 15, about two weeks from now.
Ditching the old plastic bodies, the Moto G5 and G5 Plus both sport premium looking metal builds. Having gained quite the large customer base from Indian users right from its inception, the Moto G5 and G5 Plus can also be expected to cover decent ground in the current mid-range segment. Perhaps the all metal build might feature as an attraction.
Though it hasn’t been confirmed for the Indian variant yet, the Moto G5 Plus comes with NFC which is also a first in the G series lineup. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that NFC makes its way to India too with the Moto G5 Plus.

Another nifty feature that comes with the Moto G5 Plus is the fingerprint reader which in addition to reading fingerprints, can also act as secondary navigation button on swiping vertically and horizontally. And there is an excellent camera on the Moto G5 Plus everyone is talking about, whose specs are same as that of Galaxy S7, which has us already drooling prospects of its real-world performance. If it’s even 75% of Galaxy S7, consider us a big Moto G5 Plus fan!
