After being under the radar for quite some time now, the Motorola Moto C and Moto C Plus have finally seen the light of day today. The Lenovo-owned company has silently launched the new C line targeting the first-time smartphone buyers.
The smaller of the two – the Moto C comes with a 5.0-inch FWVGA (854X480) display. The Moto C Plus too, features a 5.0-inch display, but the resolution gets a bump to HD.
The Moto C is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6737m chipset hooked to 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. It also accepts a microSD card which allows you to further expand the storage up to 32GB.
The Moto C Plus, on the other hand, is powered by a (slightly over-clocked) 1.3GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 chipset in comparison. Also, the Plus variant comes in either 1GB or 2GB of RAM while the standard variant is limited only to 1GB of RAM. It also has 16GB of onboard storage with the option to expand it up to 32GB provided you have a microSD card.

Both the smartphones have a 2MP (f/2.8) sensor at the front for selfies but differ in terms of rear camera. The Moto C has a 5MP (f 2.4) rear camera while the C Plus gets an 8MP sensor at the back. Also, both these dual-SIM smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The major difference among the two comes in the battery department (of course alongside the display). The standard Moto C draws fuel from a 2,350mAh battery while the Moto C Plus gets a huge 4,000mAh battery.
Prices start at €89 for the Moto C and €119 for the Moto C Plus.
