Motorola Canada took it to Twitter earlier today to reveal that it will be announcing its “next bold phone” on June 1. The company didn’t disclose any details surrounding the smartphone in question.

But, if you observe carefully, the Moto Z2 Play has been making quite some news recently. In fact, it was in the news almost every alternate day in the past week which leads us to believe that the Moto Z2 Play could be the company’s “next bold phone.”

Or, maybe it’s the Moto G5S. We don’t anything for sure right now. The good news, however, is we won’t have to wait for long.

Anyways, the Moto Z2 Play is expected to come with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 626 chipset, 3,000mAh battery, and of course support for the Moto Mods. As you can see, the capacity of the battery seems to be significantly reduced down to 3,000mAh when compared to the 3,510mAh battery on its predecessor.

As far as the design aspects are concerned, the Moto Z2 Play, for the most part, will look similar to its predecessor. The only major difference you can spot is the shape of the fingerprint scanner which is now oval. Also, it seems to have a dual LED flash on the front.
