Motorola has launched its new smartphone at US Cellular, called the Motorola Electrify and also known as Photon 4G, and they did it in somewhat weird (or cool?) fashion — by giving Electrify a mid-night launch. Maybe Moto and US Cellular wanted to have a grand and surprising launch for what is carrier’s first dual-core device to date.

The Moto Electrify is a twin to Photon 4G but without the the successor of Photon 3G which was launched a few months back by Sprint mobile. The specs are pretty much common, the device is powered by dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, a 4.3-inch qHD Pentile display, a 8-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, and 16GB inbuilt storage space — ohh and for gamers, a full Tegra zone games compatibility.

The Electrify will only be available for a short period on US Cellular website for $200 – that is on contract bases. If you missed it don’t worry, Electrify will officially hit the stores on 26th September, also if you are eligible to the current Brief plans you can purchase the device for $200 without a contract.
