Being acquired by Google is perhaps the best thing that ever happened to Motorola as well as fans and owners of Motorola’s Android smartphones, as Motorola has started rolling out the Jelly Bean updates for two more devices – the Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD for Verizon, keeping good on their promise of updating the two devices before the end of this year, along with the RAZR M.

The RAZR HD and MAXX HD are exactly the same devices except a bigger battery on the latter, so it’s only natural that both devices are getting the update at the same time. However, the update will be rolled out in phases, so you may or may not be enjoying the goodness of Android 4.1 today, though a week or two should see it reach every device out there.

With Jelly Bean, you get a much responsive and smoother interface thanks to Project Butter, expandable and actionable notifications, Google Now for all the automated and useful info that you need, offline voice typing, improved Android Beam, and overall a more consistent experience, and it is great to see that Motorola is pushing out one of the most important Android updates so soon.
