Motorola is reportedly sending invites to press for an event scheduled on July 25th. The invite (gif rather), reads “you won’t want to miss this” along with the “hellomotoworld” hashtag thereby throwing a cryptic message towards us.
It’s a difficult to decrypt this mysterious invite. However, if we were to take a wild guess, the company could announce the much-rumored Moto X4 at the event which was earlier rumored to be launched on June 30.
Besides, taking into consideration the “hellomotoworld” hashtag, mostly attached to the Motorola smartphones, we can expect the upcoming event to be related to smartphones, the Moto X4, in particular.
Chances are, we might get a glimpse of the Moto Z2 or the Moto Z2 Force at the event as well. In which case, some new Moto Mods could also see the light of day including the Moto 360 Camera which was announced recently.
But for now, our money is on the Moto X4. A recent rumor revealed that the Moto X4 will be the first non-Google phone to receive Project Fi compatibility sometime in Q4.
So far, the Moto X4 has been rumored to feature a dual camera setup at the back (12MP + 8MP) along with a 16MP front facing camera. It will reportedly feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a glass and metal build.
A Snapdragon 630 SoC is expected to power the device which will reportedly be hooked to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Other rumored features include IP68-certified water and dust resistance, 3,000mAh battery, front mounted fingerprint scanner, and more.
