Not quite known for regular monthly updates, Motorola definitely lags in this department. As such, it hardly comes as a surprise to us that in the second half of March, Motorola is rolling out last month’s security patch update to Moto Z units in Europe.
The new firmware update is rolling out to Moto Z users in Europe over the air. Arriving as firmware build number NPLS25.86.30.5, the new update brings with it February security patch and regular bug fixes.
The update being an OTA is rolled out in stages and could take some time before it hits your Moto Z phone. If you want to check for it manually without waiting further, head to Settings > About device > System updates. However, before hitting the download button it is recommended to get the battery of your handset at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network for seamless installation of the update.

The Android Marshmallow based device was launched last year with high-end features. It has been bumped up to Android Nougat back in December 2016 and should soon rock the Android 7.1.1 OS version. Considering Motorola’s reputation in pushing updates to its devices, this is definitely a welcome change.
