Motorola has silently slashed the pricing of its second generation Moto X smartphone in India. The device priced at Rs 29,999 is now retailing for Rs 26,999 onwards from the firm’s exclusive online partner Flipkart.

Considering the high competition in this price bracket, it seems like Motorola has made the right decision by cutting down the price of the Moto X. After the price cut, 16 GB Moto X (2014)’s plastic back model is priced at Rs 26,999, leather and wooden back models are priced at Rs 28,999 and 32 GB plastic variant of the smartphone is priced at Rs 29,999.

To refresh on its specifications, the Moto X (2nd Gen) smartphone is given a 5.2 inch Full HD 1080p display and it is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor teamed up with 2 GB of RAM. The device packs in 16 GB or 32 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further.

At its back, the smartphone boasts of a 13 MP main snapper and there is a 2 MP selfie shooter at the front. The other aspects of the Moto X (2nd Gen) include a 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.4.4 KitKat platform. The firm has released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the device as well.
