Motorola is speculated to launch the Moto X (2015) smartphone before the arrival of fall this year. We have been witnessing several rumors and leaks of the smartphone lately suggesting what the device might feature.
The latest pair of leaked photos reveals the presence of space to house a fingerprint scanner at the device’s back. The space is in the shape of a small square cutout below the primary camera. This is the place where the Moto X depression will be positioned, and hence there are speculations that it could double as a biometric scanner.
Motorola and Google reportedly tried implementing a fingerprint scanner in the Nexus 6 that was launched in the last year. However, the firms could not make it up when the hardware was unveiled. Now, it is not a great surprise to see fingerprint scanners in the Android devices as Google announced that Android M will be supporting the feature.
Going by the previous rumors, the Moto X (2015) is likely to pack powerful hardware. The device will arrive with a Quad HD display, high-end Snapdragon SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM and support to a reversible USB-C charging port. The device is likely to come in two variants – a 5.2 inch smartphone and a 5.7 inch phablet.
