Lenovo-owned Motorola has now released a new software update to its mid-range Moto G5 Plus.

The update arrives with the build NPNS25.137-35-5 and installs the May security patch on the handset.

The company has rolled out the update over-the-air (OTA) already. So, you should receive the notification any time now. If you don’t want to wait, however, head to Settings > About phone > System updates and check for it manually.

Alternatively, you can download the update right from the download link provided below.

Download Moto G5 Plus May Security Patch zip

Since it’s just a regular Android security patch, the update should be small in terms of size. So, downloading it over mobile data shouldn’t be a problem, but we recommend you to download it over Wi-Fi to avoid unnecessary data charges.

Also, maintain at least 50% charge your handset before installing the update. You don’t want to see your G5 Plus shutting down while in the middle of the installation process, do you?
