Strangely, after three months of the commencement of roll out of the stable build of Nougat update to Moto G4 Plus by Motorola, the users of this smartphone in US have now reported receiving the OS update. The update is being rolled out as we speak over the air (OTA).

Arriving as build NPJ25.93-14, the update bumps up the Marshmallow OS on Moto G4 Plus units in the US to Android 7.0 Nougat. Needless to say, it tags along all the Nougat goodies viz improved Doze mode, new notification features, split window mode etc.

As is the case with OTA updates, it may take a while to hit your device. In case you want to check for it manually, head to Settings > About device > System updates. Get your smartphone sufficiently charged and connected to a WiFi network before hitting the download button.

Meanwhile, Motorola has already started works on Android 7.1.1 for Moto G4 Plus. This smartphone running Android 7.1.1 OS has been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench hinting at the fact that Motorola will soon roll out the OS update to the mentioned Motorola device.
