With the onset of summer, the tech world is eagerly anticipating the launch of the new smartphones from different firms. The upcoming flagship smartphone Moto X (2015) has been circulating in rumors and speculations a lot. In the meantime, the rumors related to the third generation Moto G have started surfacing online.
A slew of photos have been revealed on Google+ revealing the possible aspects of the Moto G (2015). It seems like Motorola is intending to retain the basic layout for its 2015 flagship smartphone. However, it appears to have revised the textured back panel with a vertical strip as in LG devices without the volume and power controls.
The device seems to carry the model number XT1543 and run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. Notably, the unlocked models of the first and second generation Moto G had the model numbers XT1032 and XT1064 respectively.
The specifications that were leaked in the latest leak and the YouTube video of the device are removed, but they suggest that the Moto G (2015) will arrive with a 5 inch HD 720p display and make use of 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable native memory capacity. The leak further suggests that it is an LTE model, and so we can expect the HSPA only variant to be dropped by the firm.
The major enhancement in the leak is the inclusion of a 13 MP main snapper and a 5 MP selfie snapper. To remind you, the Moto G (2014) features an 8 MP main camera at its back and a 2 MP front facer. The processor to be used in the upcoming model is a quad core Snapdragon 410 processor and not the S400 SoC.
It is of course disappointing to know that the third generation Moto G will make use of 1 GB of RAM only to handle the multi-tasking requirements.
Lately, the Indian online retailer Flipkart put a listing for the Moto G (2015) and it is was pulled off later. Analyzing the launch time of the second generation Moto G, it seems like the upcoming model will be announced in July.
