A few days ago, Xiaomi announced that MIUI 10 stable rollout had commenced in China and while we knew the global ROM’s update was next in line, there was no mention of the expected release date. But this is no more.
Thanks to an official post published in the company’s forums, we can now confirm that MIUI 10 global stable rollout has commenced. The update has been confirmed for the Redmi Y2, a device that is known outside India as the Redmi S2 and is expected to expand to other devices such as India’s Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi 5, Mi MIX 2 and even the Mi 8 SE, among others.

Interestingly, last week, a leaked firmware for the global ROM meant for the Redmi S2 appeared online, which hinted that the official rollout wasn’t far away. Well, it’s happening and according to the changelog, the MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEFMIFH update brings a new UI designed for full-screen experience using gestures, a natural sound system that mimics your familiar environment, as well as plenty of AI-based tweaks to the camera and other areas.
