Looks like Intel is taking its foray into mobile platforms pretty seriously. After partnering with Motorola on the Droid Razr i, the chip giant has now joined hands with Indian handset manufacturer Lava for a mid-range sequel to Lava’s XOLO X900 Android smartphone.
The new Lava XOLO X700 will pack a 1.2 GHz Intel Medfield processor with hyper-threading technology, a 4.3-inch qHD 540 x 960 display, dual-sim capability, a 5 megapixel main camera and VGA front camera, expandable microSD slot, and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.
The Lava XOLO X700 is priced at INR 14,000 ($258) and is listed with online retailer Homeshop18. No availability date has been specified yet. The device is still shown as out-of-stock on the website, and we are expecting it to be live for purchase pending an official announcement from either Lava or Intel.
Would you go for a phone with Intel-inside?
