Microsoft has released a new app on the Play Store called HealthVault Insights. As the name suggests, HealthVault enables you to perform a multitude number of functions like adding and accessing the records of you and your family. The app also allows you to track your health records over a certain period of time and helps you to map your health and calorie burn among other instances.
For the competitor in you, the app enables you to share your data and track records with your friends and family and compares your data either with them or with random netizens across the globe within your age and weight group. (Seriously though, if that doesn’t motivate you, we don’t know what will.) Needless to say, the app tracks your steps and helps you for creating reminders to make sure you don’t miss out on your daily runs and prescription pills.
Besides the normal support for Android devices, the App also supports Google Fit and the Microsoft Band. Whether the app supports Fitbit and other fitness bands is unsure at this point. Hopefully, the app will also be compatible with Android wear devices. On a side note, the app is also available for iOS devices.

That’s not all the plate from Microsoft today, as they also released an update to the Translator app — mind you, its 4.5 average rating in Play Store tops Google Translate’s 4.4 rating.
Although, Microsoft Translator still has long way to go in order to catch up to Google Translate. The MS Translator app can convert 60 different languages via text method whereas its counterpart, Google Translate supports 103 languages with an extra 14 languages visible for the translate community.
Today’s update to Microsoft Translator basically improves the start time of the app, and fixes disconnection issues in conversation mode.
Regardless, the app is solid from a performance and User Interface point of view. Feel free to download the updated app from the Play Store.
