After a brief hiatus, India’s smartphone maker Micromax is back in the game with a bang. The manufacturer is all set to unveil a new product day after tomorrow for which it has already sent out media invites. The new kid on the block is Micromax Dual 5. As the name suggests, it is a dual camera phone from Micromax which will be officially launched on March 29th at 12PM.
Apart from the media invite, Micromax has released teasers for its upcoming dual camera phone. One such teaser image (as seen above) shows the rear of the phone with the caption Revolutionize Photography with #Dual5 written below it. Also, the dual camera set up at the center with a LED flash below it is clearly visible. We can also spot the fingerprint scanner below the cameras. The same image teaser has been sent out with media invites for the March 29th launch.
Another image teased is a bit perplexing as it contains only jumbled numerical (as seen in the image below). As per our assumption, the 13-cube could mean that the Micromax Dual 5 smartphone will sport two 13-megapixel rear cameras, and one 13-megapixel selfie shooter.
Off late, Micromax sales statistics have suffered a downward trend with popular Chinese OEMs like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi grabbing the spotlight with budget phones for which Micromax has been known for. Thus, this move by the Indian manufacturer to come with a a dual camera phone is clearly aimed at giving its competitors a tough match. If Micromax is able to set the pricing right for this dual camera phone, it will definitely succeed in snatching the lost market base from the Chinese OEMs.
