Micromax’s Canvas Selfie smartphone which was announced way back in December, is expected to go on sale very soon. According to the company, the dual-SIM device, which has been designed while keeping image-conscious women in mind will feature a bunch of preloaded camera tools such as eye enhancement, face slimming, skin smoothening, teeth whitening, fade dark circles and……err you get the idea, right?

True to the name, the front camera of the device is on par with its rear one — which is no mean feat considering its specifications. The cameras both have a resolution of 13 MP and come with LED flash modules and Sony sensors and we expect it to delight those selfie addicts.

Display wise, you have a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. For connectivity, the device offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G. The whole package is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage with the option of popping in an external memory card of upto 32 GB capacity. The device, which runs on a 2300 mAH battery will be available in two color variant namely Mystic Blue and Angelic White — which basically means blue and white — and will cost around Rs. 15,999.

The device will also feature a faux leather rear finish and will run the Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.

In other news, sourced by an established Mumbai-based retailer, Micromax’s new Bolt Q324 smartphone has already been launched. The device which — strangely enough — is yet to be officially announced by Micromax is expected to be available for Rs. 3,990 against a printed rate of Rs. 4,699. This news however, is still unconfirmed and we recommend you to take it with a pinch of salt.
