Bezel-free phones are the new trend. And it seems like Micromax is currently prepping to jump onto the bandwagon with a new phone dubbed Micromax HS2.

It’s worth pointing out, however, that the smartphone won’t be a flagship but a mid-range device.

The Micromax HS2 has just been spotted paying a visit to both GFXBench and Geekbench benchmarking websites thereby shedding light on some of its key specs including the fact that it would come with a bezel-free display.

According to the listing, the smartphone will house the quad-core Snapdragon 427 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz which will be hooked onto 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

As for the imaging, the smartphone will feature a 12MP primary camera on the back and a 16MP secondary camera on the front for selfies enthusiasts.

On the software side of things, the handset was spotted running Android 7.1.2.

Micromax has recently teased that it will be launching a new bezel-free smartphone with a 2:1 (18:9) aspect ratio called Micromax Canvas Infinity on August 21. Perhaps, the Micromax HS2 is the same smartphone in disguise. We will know that tomorrow.
