Meta has started the roll out of AI Studio – a place where Instagram creators and general users can make AI-based personae and characters. However, the implementation is slightly different for the two.
Instagram creators will have tools that will allow them to create an AI persona that is designed to chat with and answers the questions of fans and followers. The creators can provide all the necessary information, including their comments, captions, Reel transcripts, as well as custom instructions and links so that the AI persona can answer as an extension of them.
Apparently, this will help creators with a large following answer common DM questions and story replies and reach even more people in a short duration.
Creators can fine tune their AI based on their Instagram content, choose which topics the AI should avoid, decide who their AI replies to, and enable or disable auto replies. Thankfully, when fans are being engaged with AIs, the responses will be clearly labeled as such.
The AI studio also has tools to allow general users to create custom “AI characters” that can be used to chat, generate memes, give advice, etc. This can be made available to your followers and friends, as well as for anyone to discover on Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
