The Meizu MX4 Pro launched in the last year is all set to get a sequel this year. This device is expected to be called the Meizu MX5 Pro. Lately, a couple of photos allegedly showing the back panel of the MX5 Pro were leaked showing the details of the device.

Now, a GizChina report suggests that the Meizu MX5 Pro might be equipped with a 64 bit octa core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor. This chipset is used in the latest flagship smartphones from Samsung – Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Though it could be surprising for many, Meizu has been using Exynos chipsets right from the launch of the first MX smartphone launched in the year 2012. Notably, the Meizu MX4 makes use of the octa core Exynos 5430 SoC.

Apart from the usage of the Exynos 7420 chipset, the MX5 Pro is likely to incorporate 4 GB of RAM and feature a large 6 inch display with Quad HD 2560×1440 pixels. The handset is said to get energized by a 4,000 mAh battery and boast of a fingerprint scanner at its back as in its predecessor.

The Meizu MX5 Pro is expected to go official in July while the regular MX5 will be unveiled official in the coming weeks.
