A few months back, Meizu and Canonical signed an agreement. Since then, we have all been waiting to hear news of a Meizu smartphone powered by Ubuntu. There were many speculations as to which device Meizu would chose to represent. But now, the company has put an end to all the rumors as it just stated that the device would be the company’s current flagship, MX4!

The Chinese manufacturer posted the Ubuntu powered MX4 on its website with the caption “More than better”. So, it is obvious that the Ubuntu powered handset will be launched next week at the MWC. But, we all thought that the company would choose the M1, didn’t we?

Coming down to the features of the MX4, it sports a 5.36 inch display, packs 2GB of RAM and offers internal storage of 16GB/32GB/64GB. It has a 20.7MP camera at the back while a 5MP camera graces its front. The device is powered by a 3100mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The phone measures 144 x 75.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 147 grams.

As for the price of the new device, there aren’t any details yet. However, we don’t have to wait more than a couple of days to know anyway!
