Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 has gone live. The mid-season patch (version 20251212) continues Season 5 with "a new hero, new map, fun events, and fantastic costumes". The updates comes on the back of a trailer drop for the Marvel Rivals Season 6.

Season 5.5 is framed as a content-heavy refresh with the main headline being Rogue - the newest Vanguard hero who can absorb Chronovium and drain nearby enemy's Ultimate energy. Rogue will slot perfectly in the frontline role, giving you another brawler to choose from though one with her own kit.

There are several other updates yet to come, as mentioned in the Season 5.5 Roadmap. These will bring a new map, more events, and new costumes which we expect to be themed around winter.

The Seeds of the Gardener event, which is a seasonal progression track, also becomes available with 5.5 alongside holiday skins and event challenges with daily and weekly objectives.

There's also wide-ranging balancing across roles, including Vanguards, Duelists, Strategists, and other supports, touching base health, skill damage values, ultimate costs, mobility windows, and even how team-up bonuses apply.

The Twitch Drop events will run from Dec 12, 12:00 UTC till Jan 9, 9:00 UTC.

Season 5.5 is Marvel's last big push for new content, heroes, some tuning, and cosmetics in the new year. Being a mid-season update, it won't reset ranks. So your existing progressions are safe even as you get rewarded for new content.
