Walkthrough

Follow these steps to complete the Love in Ashes Encounter Quest in Where Winds Meet:

Step 1

Travel to the Thousand Buddha Village.

Step 2

Set the in-game time to Zi hour.

Step 3

Go to the exact location indicated on the map.

Step 4

Eavesdrop on two women talking. Zhen Ali has brought a picture of a man and asks Yaoyao to resurrect him.

Step 5

This will trigger the encounter.

Step 6

Approach them and tell Zhen Ali that Yaoyao is lying. She insists that resurrection is possible and tells you to bring a Datura King flower.

Step 7

Follow the quest marker to Mercyheart Town and gather the Datura King flowers.

Step 8

Return to Yaoyao and give her the flowers. She instructs you to wait until Zi Hour, claiming it is the optimal time to bring someone back from the dead.

Step 9

Set the time to the second day at Zi hour.

Step 10

A figure resembling Mr. Yu, the man Zhen Ali wants resurrected, appears. Follow Zhen Ali as she rushes toward him.

Step 11

Inspect the figure. When you touch him, it feels like paper. Remember that Yaoyao said souls despise fire.

Step 12

Shoot a fire arrow at Mr. Yu. The figure burns away, revealing it was a paper puppet.

Step 13

Confront Yaoyao and demand she return Zhen Ali’s money. She refuses and flees.

Step 14

She has set paper puppets of herself. Burn them using fire arrows.

Step 15

When you finally catch her, she confesses her scam and hands over Zhen Ali’s money.
