LG’s new UltraGear GX7 (27GX790A) brings fresh tech to gaming displays. The 27-inch screen runs at QHD resolution and refreshes 480 times per second, putting it among the fastest monitors you can buy.
As announced by LG, the GX7 uses white OLED technology with color filters to display images. It shows most cinema-quality colors and gets bright enough for HDR content. The screen’s coating helps cut down glare when playing in bright room.
The monitor responds to image changes in just 0.03 milliseconds, which means no blur in fast games. It plays nice with both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards to keep your games running smooth without screen tears.
You’ll find modern ports on the back, including DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 connections. The stand lets you move the screen up and down, tilt it, and turn it sideways to find your perfect viewing angle.
The UltraGear GX7 (27GX790A) costs $1,000, which is $100 less than similar screens from other brands. You can order it now, and it should arrive at your doorstep by year’s end or early January.
